Unwasted Day

Unwasted Day is an annual one-day conference hosted by Grace City Church of the Northeast to encourage followers of Jesus to live their one short life for God’s glory and their neighbor’s good. This year’s theme, Limitations and Our Unlimited God, seeks to help Christians live wisely and well within the limits the Lord has assigned.

We’re planning three dynamic sessions with worship through song and teaching, as well as a Q&A session to wrap up the day together. At lunchtime, we hope you will enjoy stimulating conversations as we consider our weakness and God’s strength. We’d love to have you join us!

When: Saturday, May 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Where: Grace City Church of the Northeast (8950 Ashton Rd.)

Meet Our Speakers

Ian McConnell serves as a church planter at Redeemer Church of San Jose, CA. Additionally, he is the Director of Development for Bayseed Collective (a ministry creating partnerships to revitalize, reproduce, and resource local churches in the Bay Area) and President of Trinity Fellowship Churches (a denomination of Confessional, Connectional, and Missional churches committed to mutual faithfulness and fruitfulness). He has served in pastoral ministry for over twenty years, with well over a decade of experience in denominational leadership. Grace City Church of the Northeast is excited to welcome Ian back for Unwasted Day, having flourished under his leadership for eleven years (2005-16). He is married to Rachel, and they are parents to Payson, Piper, and Silas. Together, they love to travel and enjoy long unhurried conversations with friends over good food and drink. Besides grooming his three Giant Schnauzers, his most consuming hobby is the excruciating joy of being a diehard Philadelphia sports fan.

Jeff Boettcher is the founding and lead pastor of Christ Church South Philadelphia. He serves as the main preacher at Christ Church and leads in implementing its mission and vision. He also serves as the Vice President of Transformation to Recovery, a faith-based recovery center run by Christ Church and is the team chaplain for the Philadelphia Phillies. He is married to Angie, and they have three children (Sophie, Judah, and Aaron) and two dogs (Dawkins and Lolalita Chiquita Banana).
